Bruce Zimmerman, EA, FCCA, MAAA

Bruce is a senior consulting actuary and CEO of Visionary Health Solutions. Prior to starting the company in early 2008 he held various senior management positions for a number of the major consulting firms. He has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of employee benefits.

Most recently his consulting work has concentrated on strategic health management with a focus on Wellness and disability management. Spanning group health and welfare as well as retirement initiatives, Bruce has worked with many large employers to integrate their benefit programs.

In previous positions, Bruce served as Head of Best Practices, Office Manager and was a member of the Board of Directors of Buck Consultants, an international employee benefits consulting firm.

Bruce holds a BS degree in statistics from Northern Illinois University. He is an Enrolled Actuary, a member of the Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

He has authored a chapter in the Healthcare Handbook, as well as articles in Pension & Investment Age, The Journal of Compensation & Benefits and The Benefits Law Journal.
